Red Wine Marinated Steak recipe

Steak Recipe


  • ½ cup of red wine.
  • 2 tablespoons of thyme, freshly chopped.
  • 2 tablespoons of olive oil.
  • 3 cloves garlic, smashed.
  • ½ teaspoon of salt.
  • ½ teaspoon of pepper.
  • One 2 lb inside round marinating steak, about an inch thick.


  1. In a large shallow glass dish, combine the red wine, thyme, olive oil, garlic, salt, and pepper.
  2. Add the steak and turn to coat.
  3. Cover and marinate in your refrigerator for about 8 hours or overnight, turning occasionally.
  4. Place the steak on a greased grill over high heat, brushing with enough marinade to coat, then discarding remaining marinade.
  5. Close the lid and cook for 7 minutes per side for medium-rare.
  6. Transfer to a cutting board and tent with foil. Allow standing for 5 minutes.
  7. Thinly slice across the grain at an angle and serve.
